Sally’s understanding of the power of storytelling comes from her experience telling stories at the bedsides of kids in a children’s hospital where she witnessed their pain temporarily fly away while they were enraptured in a story.

Now, she loves giving that same magical experience to adult audiences, taking them away from their daily schedules, demands, and challenges, into a story that captivates their whole being.

“I’ve always enjoyed Sally Perkins’ storytelling, but she outdid herself with Digging In Their Heels.  I laughed. I clapped.  I cheered.  The audience gave her a standing ovation. Who thought women’s suffrage could be so entertaining?”

Imagine if Susan B. Anthony and her pals had i-Pads and Twitter.  Maybe it wouldn’t have taken 72 years to win the vote.

Maybe?

In her one-woman performance of Digging In Their Heels, Sally Perkins puts an engaging, modern spin on the story of women’s battle for the ballot, inspiring audiences to dig for justice today as they marvel, cringe, laugh, and learn from women who paved the way.
